How does the sign-up process work?

It’s easy! You can call/text 780-707-1310, or send an email to dogwalkr@telus.net, telling us a little about yourself, your dog(s), and the services you’re interested in. We’ll then set up a date and time for a meet & greet.

How do I schedule walks?

After an introductory pack-walk, scheduling a walk is done simply by calling, texting, or emailing, detailing the days you're wanting your dog(s) to be walked.

What are the costs of your services?

For those interested in the occasional walk, each 1 hour walk is $30. Should you schedule an entire week with me, I instead charge $25 per day (though pricing is flexible and negotiable). I also offer pet sitting for $40 per night, however pet sitting is only for established dog walking clients.

How do I make payments?

I accept cash, cheques and e-transfers. I charge for walks once per month, no pre-payment required.

What is your cancellation policy?

You are able to cancel a scheduled walk at any point up until 10 a.m. the day of the scheduled walk. I do not charge any cancellation fees.

Do you require a minimum number of walks per week?

I require an introductory 2 week period of daily pack-walks. This allows time for your dog to get used to walking with my pack and to learn basic obedience. After this introductory period, there is a 2 walks per week minimum. These guidelines are not set in stone and change depending on each dogs temperament or their individual needs.

When do the walks take place?

The walks take place everyday at 1 p.m. Pick-up and drop-off windows vary slightly by day and occur between 11-1 for pick-ups and 2-4 for drop-offs (though your dog's individual pick-up/drop-off times will vary by at most 30 minutes).

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes! I am covered by a commercial liability insurance policy. I'd be happy to show you a copy of my policy upon request.

Do weekend walks cost extra?

No, I offer weekend walks for the same rate as our weekday walks,

Can you walk my dog on holidays?

Yes! I walk my own dogs every day, holidays included, and so it's no trouble at all for me to come and pick-up your dog too. If I ever need to take a holiday or period of time off (which is incredibly rare), I'll be sure to inform each of my clients well in advance.

What happens during adverse weather conditions?

Wind, rain, snow, or shine, my pack and I will be out having fun and getting exercise. On extremely hot or extremely cold days, I may shorten the length of the walk based on the comfort levels of each dog.

What are your emergency procedures?

I don't expect there to ever be an emergency situation during one of your dog's walks. However, in the extremely unlikely scenario that an emergency situation does arise, my first step will be to immediately contact you with an emergency contact number you've provided me during the signup procedure. I will detail exactly what's occurred and discuss what course of action you'd like to take. If I cannot immediately get in contact with, I will leave you a detailed voice message. Then, using my best judgement, I will do what I deem best to resolve the situation as quickly and safely as possible.

Do you walk sick or injured dogs?

My pack walks at a calm, relaxed pace and so if your dog is recovering from an injury or non-transmittable illness, they are welcome to join my pack and get some healthy, healing exercise.

Can you administer medication?

I am happy to administer any medications required by your dog(s).

Can you take pictures of my dog on the walk?

Yes! I will take pictures and videos while on the walk and will post an album of the pack on Facebook once a week. If you'd like to make a special request for a picture or video of your dog, I'd be happy to do so!
